My fFN test results are negative so I should be in the clear for another couple of weeks. I will still go in on Tuesday and have a sonogram just to make sure everything is still looking good. I am so thankful to be able to spend another week at home instead of in the hospital!!

Speaking of hospital--I was hoping to get some help from any of you who have been put on hospital bedrest. I am trying to get prepared, but I don't even know what all to prepare. I have my laptop and movies, lots of magazines, books and puzzle books, but other than entertainment materials, what would you suggest taking? I want to know the little things that you were so glad you had while in the hospital. Any ideas are welcome!!

I found your blog through another blog I read (I can't remember which one!), and your situation struck a soft spot with me, so I am following your story and praying for you as I read each update.

Anyway, my suggestions for the hospital stay: a couple of pictures of loved ones, a favorite food or two (they'll feed you well, of course, but I craved my Cheerios :), address book, something to write on/with, thank you cards (& postage stamps) so you can write them as you go and not have to catch up after the babies are born, favorite lotion and chapstick (hospital air is really dry).

Amber told me of your story so I have been catching up with your blog! I know you have been reading mine so you know it is possible to survive hospital bedrest! :)
Pack your "good attitude" first and foremost! I know it isn't how you wanted to spend your pregnancy but you are an awesome mommy and will do whatever it takes for those sweet little girls.
The last comment was great about pictures, CHEERIOS :), addresses-thank yous-stamps, etc, lotion, CHAPSTICK.
Here is my list: your own towels, a folding chair for the bathroom if you have room so you can sit to dry your hair/get ready, something that smells good-diffuser sticks, plug-ins, etc - get rid of the hospital smell w/o candles. A calendar to mark off your days and count how far you have come-know your weeks like 28 and 3 days - always change it when you get up in the morning, and count the days you stay there...mine was 105 total!! Yikes!
I did take my "lap desk" from high school to write on. A friend donated their old Nintendo set-so fun, clothes other than pjs that are comfy-yoga type stuff. A Robe for sure and a couple of nightgowns-I had to borrow some b/c I am not a nightgown girl but they are good in the hospital. Slippers/flipflops
oh-I had my iPod and iHome (that's how I did church on sunday mornings with the radio)
Make sure you pack some warm clothes for hubby-you can freeze everyone out in the hospital - it's great!!
That should give you a start! Glad you got the FFn back as negative! Stay off your feet and take it easy-soon you will beg to be on bedrest-twins are CRAZY! :)
(oh and make friends with your nurses - hopefully they will be as incredible as mine!)
email me if you have more questions-brad.mere@gmail

We are praying for you. I have been following everything trying to stay up to date. I never had to do bedrest, but I did freeze while and I was in the hospital and then get really hot, so I would say layers or blankets are nice.
We will keep you in our prayers. I hope that all goes well.

Yay! I can tell you have been on bedrest because you are blogging so much! Ha! The shower looked amazing! Praise God for such great results. What is FFn anyway? Do you want me to send you some good books I've read lately? Love you!

hey little mama! these are some great suggestions for bed rest! i also made a calendar so i could count down the days (which helped ME alot!)

Other stuff: LAPTOP (life-saver), lotion, chapstick, my own comforter and blankets from home, stuff for the quads (little stuffed animals with their names on them), my own pillows, PJ's/robe, thank you notes! (b/c you will definitely not have time once those precious darlings arrive!)...

but i mainly slept all day long! and i'm SOOOO glad i did. let people wait on you hand and foot and really try to relax and get some good sleep! (seriously, i wanted to slap all the people who kept telling me, 'you had better sleep now b/c you will never be able to get a chance like this again'....but they were SOOOOO right on!)

if you are a book reader, that would be good, DVD's, etc. good luck and the steeces are praying for you guys!!!

Hey Julia! I've been so out of the loop I had not idea what was going on with you until Shelly was visiting our church this morning (small world). I hope you do well on bed rest and those babies wait until at least 30 weeks. We'll be praying for you! Blessings!!
