2 Month Check-up

I took Ben to the doctor for his 2 month check-up today.  Unfortunately, his doctor was not their so we saw another doctor.  She was fine, I just really like our doctor a lot!  Ben weighs 13 lbs. 1 oz. and is 24 1/2 inches long.  Both of those stats are in the 90th percentile for his age.  I don't remember what his head circumference was but it was only the 25th percentile.  He is one big baby, which is something I am not used to!  I just pulled out the girls' baby books and found that at 2 months Gracelyn weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 inches and  Ellie weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20 inches long.  Ben, at birth, was bigger than Ellie at 2 months!  That is crazy to think about!  Ben is doing really well, obviously!  2 month check-ups are not fun because they get a bunch of shots.  Ben had these Daffy Duck band aids on both of his sweet little legs (I use the term "little" loosely!).  We are so thankful for the blessing of our sweet, healthy, baby boy!

I couldn't resist this sweet moment!  Sleeping babies are one of the most precious things ever! (Yes, he is wearing the same shirt he was wearing yesterday! I am sure we changed it at some point during the day, but why rush it and just add more to my already mountainous pile of laundry?!?!)

Tummy time & Tuckered out

Tummy time.  Ben is holding his head up really well! He doesn't like tummy time very much but he will tolerate it for a few minutes.  When he is awake he wants to be on his back, but he really enjoys taking naps on his tummy.

Tuckered out.  Ben worked so hard during tummy time, by the end of the day he was exhausted! :)

Botanic Gardens

Getting out with all 3 kids is a work in progress to say the least, but we can't just stay cooped up in the house all the time. So when Lindsay asked to meet up at the Botanic Gardens I figured some fresh air would do us some good. It definitely makes things easier having another pair of hands to help corral the girls when I am occupied with Ben, and Lindsay doesn't hesitate to help a friend out! The wind nearly blew us away, but the sun was shining and the girls had a great time!

Nothing like a good friend, or two!

Stop and smell the roses!

Curious little fingers playing in the dirt.  I thought it was just boys who did this!

So much space to run and play.

Sitting on a rock, watching the turtles in the pond.

We are looking forward to taking Dave along next time!

No promises....

I am trying to make it back to blogging but I am not going to make any promises. I am just not motivated to spend time on the computer these days. I would rather sit on the couch and hold my newest little bundle during naptime. I would rather sit on the couch and read books with the cutest 2 year olds around. I would rather sit on the couch and eat a bowl of ice cream. As you may have noticed, I do a lot of sitting on the couch these days. One day soon I am going to have to change that, but for now we are enjoying our simple, laid back life.
