Oh, what an Easter

Not much to say about our Easter.  No cute Easter dress photos. You wouldn't want to see them even if there were because the girls didn't get their morning nap on Sunday morning so there weren't too many smiles or happy faces.  We thought about trying to get some after church but decided it was better to feed them and put them to bed.  Ellie and Gracelyn did have a good time Sunday afternoon playing with the baskets and eggs my Granma gave them on Saturday. Look at Gracelyn's face.  She is so excited playing with that "grass".  She was dropping it on Ellie's head and having a ball. Saturday my parents, Gracelyn, Ellie, and I went to my grandparent's house to celebrate my Granpa's birthday.  My grandparents, 3 of my aunts, an uncle, cousin Mark and his girlfriend, my Auntie Fran and Uncle Newell and cousin Laurie were all there.  We had a good time with everyone.  My Granma had baskets and eggs for the girls.  There were little coo...

A Wedding and an Egg Hunt

We drove to Atlanta a couple of weeks ago because Dave was in a wedding there.  We were a little worried about how Ellie and Gracelyn would do traveling that far.  They did GREAT!!  We left on a Wednesday night and drove straight through the night.  The girls slept pretty well most of the night.  But, we were ALL ready for a nap by the time we got to Dave's parent's house.  On the way home we drove a little over halfway and stopped for the night.  Thankfully, Ellie let us all sleep until about 7:30 the next morning.  While Dave was driving I read to him.  I recently bought Same Kind of Different as Me and it sounded like a story Dave would enjoy.  It sure did make the time go by so much faster!!  We got about 3/4 of the way through it before we got home.  If you haven't read it, I would recommend it.  It is a very touching story.  We had so much fun with Dave's family and friends I didn't take very many pictures....

Happy Easter From Ellie and Gracelyn!!!

We took Ellie and Gracelyn to church for the first time this morning. They were a huge hit, I mean who could resist such sweet girls! They slept all through Bible class and through the beginning of church. We weren't real sure how they would do in their carseats for that long, but they were really good. We didn't get to hide and hunt Easter eggs this year, but look forward to next year!! The Fam Gracelyn and Ellie Ellie and Gracelyn Gracelyn Ellie Easter is such a special day of celebration. We are so blessed to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior without risk of persecution or discrimination. I hope you all had a wonderful day of remembrance just as we did!
