Back to School

I have been pretty busy they last several weeks. Getting ready for school to start took quite a while. I had a lot of organizing and rearranging of furniture to do before we started. Now that it has started, I am constantly working to stay organized. I am not a naturally organized person, so this is a great task. I thought about making a rule for myself to clean my desk every day before I leave, but there would be days (like today) when I would never get home! I figure, it will be waiting for me when I get there tomorrow, so why stress over it. I have some really great kids in my class this year. The beginning of the year is so exciting because it is fun to see what they know when they come into kindergarten and then compare it with where they end up at the end of the year. It is amazing to me what these little people are capable of when they are encouraged to learn and grow. There have been days in the last few weeks when I questioned, "What am I doing?" and "Why am I subjecting myself to this torture?" But, things have gotten better and I am actually enjoying my class. They are a great group of kids. I can't wait to see how they change throughout the next 8-9 months.
