Update
Gracelyn and Ellie are both doing really well. Gracelyn is now taking all her feedings from a bottle. The dr. is changing the number of calories that are being added to her milk. Everytime a change in their feeding is made they have to be monitored for 24 hours. So, she is getting close to being ready to come home, but she isn't quite there yet. Ellie is getting close to taking all her feedings from a bottle. Yesterday she was getting 2 out of 3 bottle feedings so I am guessing that she will be bumped up to all today, but we haven't heard from the dr. so not sure on that. They did another echo a couple of days ago and the PDA hasn't changed, but she is still asymptomatic. As long as it isn't bothering her they will send her home with it and we will follow up with a cardiologist. Both girls are now in open cribs and are maintaining their body temp well.
I just talked to the doctor and he said that Gracelyn is staying with the same feeding as yesterday so if she continues to gain weight today there is a good chance we will room in with her tomorrow and then bring her home over the weekend. Sooooo exciting! Ellie is taking a while with her bottle feedings so he did not change her's, either. She will stay at 2 out of 3 for another couple of days. He mentioned that it is hard to know if she is slower because she is small or if it has something to do with the PDA. They will continue to watch and decide if something needs to be done. He did mention that Ellie really is acting her age. She isn't really behind where she should be based on her age. (Remember, I should still be 34 weeks pregnant.) It is more that Gracelyn is just advancing very well.
We have gotten to hold the girls together the last few days. It is really neat having them in the same room right next to each other. This first picture is from Saturday. I got to hold both girls for the first time.

Gracelyn has on the pink hat and Ellie has on the red one. Mommy looks a little tired, don't ya think?!?!

Dave holding both girls. He is such a great dad already. Why doesn't he look as tired as me???

Ellie (pink) and Gracelyn (hearts) showing their love holding hands. They have to be the most precious babies EVER!!!
God has blessed us beyond anything we could have ever imagined and we can't wait to share these little blessings with all of you. Keep those prayers coming! We see them being answered every day!!!
